Taming a Horse, Taming Mind.

Introduction.

Years ago, i wished to help in setting-up conditions for HH Shamar Rinpoche's swift return, to strive to be worthy of Protecting Him on the Mahakala Way.

... continuing this wish, i am trying to learn about His Way, from HH Shamar Rinpoche's lessons - to realize them in my life, furthering His goals that way.

'Stages of Progress.

At first the meditator's mind is like a wild horse, yet by engaging in the consistent practice of calm abiding meditation it can gradually become tame. Eventually the mind becomes clear and completely free of agitation.

In some instruction texts, the agitation in the mind is first compared to a cascading waterfall, later with the gently flowing currents of a broad river, and finally with the still water of a clear lake on a day without wind.

Wishes.

i wish for Enlightened & Artful Love with a Buddhist woman, and i know which.

i wish to support modestly better reincarnation of HH Shamar Rinpoche, to help in protecting
HH Shamar Rinpoche as well, on Mahakala Way.

i wish other beings who wish to do so as well, are able to do so as well.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.

Introduction & Word Meanings.

i read that there's no Diamond Way without Teacher (Tibetan: Lama; Sanskrit: Guru).

Aside from 'Teacher', word 'Lama' means 'Highest Wisdom', i heard.

Aside from 'Teacher', word 'Guru' means 'Heavy with Precious Qualities', i heard.

'Rinpoche' means 'Precious One'; The word is used as a way of showing respect when addressing those recognized as reincarnated, older, respected, notable, learned and/or an accomplished Lamas or teachers of the Dharma, Buddha's Unsurpassable Teachings.

Importance of Guru Rinpoche in Vajrayana Buddhism.

''Padmasambhava' means 'Lotus-born', which refers to Guru Rinpoche's birth from a lotus in the land of Oddiyana.

Guru Rinpoche, the 'Precious Master', is the founder of Tibetan Buddhism and the Buddha of our time.

Whereas Buddha is known primarily for having taught the teachings of the sutra vehicle, Padmasambhava came into this world, and to Tibet in particular, in order to teach the tantras.

While Buddha Shakyamuni exemplifies the buddha principle, the most important element in the sutrayana path, Padmasambhava personifies the guru principle, the heart of Vajrayana Buddhism, and he is therefore known as the 'second Buddha'.'

In the 6th Century AD, the Zen Monk Bodhidharma (also known as Daruma), taught 3 different sets of qigong exercises to the monks at the Shaolin Temple:

1) The 18 Luohan Hands

The word Luohan comes from the Sanskrit word Arhat (Liberated Monk).

A figurative translation would be the 18 Techniques of the Enlightened Ones.

2) Sinew Metamorphosis
3) Bone Marrow Cleansing

These exercises were specifically designed to prepare the monks for the rigors of deep, Zen meditation. And they worked like a charm. The exercises transformed the monks physically, energetically, mentally, and spiritually. Over time, thanks to the success of these exercises, the Shaolin Temple became one of the most powerful spiritual centers in the history of the world.

Bodhidharma was born into Indian royalty in the 5th Century AD. After renouncing his royal life, he decided to travel to China in order to teach Buddhism.

Bodhidharma never taught Shaolin Kung Fu. He’s widely recognized as the 1st patriarch of Shaolin Kung Fu because the arts that he taught provided the foundation and the inspiration.

HH Buddha Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

While Nyingma School (Ancient Tradition) of Tibetan Buddhism has no single Spiritual Leader, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche represented Nyingma School before Tibetan Government in Exile while he lived.

Nyingma School has strong connection with Karma Kagyu School.

Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was a part of non-sectarian Rimé movement.

One of the Teachers of Lama Ole Nydahl.

i wish to learn from his lessons as well, but not at all cost - as a part of non-sectarian approach of my Way.

This film was advised for me to watch by Meike Herzog herself. i did watch, now i feel the need to support this film with my arts, to the best of my abilities.

Perhaps - for now at least - Beautiful Arts are more beneficial than Martial Arts.

On validity of 'accusations'.

This blog is based mostly on experiences of author, both internal and external - but also on buddhist and other lessons, as interpreted by blog's author.

Inner experiences are never a proof, when i share people's names - these should never be considered as a base for any accusations.

... still, i think these experiences, these lessons are beneficial far more than harmful - if not for current buddhists, then for those who will take a refuge in future.

Certainly, i am taking refuge in these lessons as well, i am not any exception.
