What is a True Budhism?

Who is a buddhist?

... formally a buddhist is someone who takes refuge, without lying.

... to not lie, one has to complete 'Small Refuge' Practice before taking Refuge properly.

... i also heard that 'buddhist is someone who behaves at least a little reasonably'.

... i think it's reasonable to develop wisdom and compassion.

... without compassion, wisdom is too limited, not true, i think.

Buddhism offers timeless, abstract lessons - and takes different forms in different people at different times.

... in modern times Buddhism is not Religion, but it still has Religious Lessons, and more, i think.

What are timeless lessons?

... lessons that 'pass the test of time', that are true at any time.

What are abstract lessons?

... abstraction is generalizing - but still on topic - while omitting details.

... why omit details?

... because details are not so important - too untrue for many, at different times.

... one has to find one's own truths, at different times and situations.

... this includes finding modern truths.

... what is 'on topic'?

... enlightenment is on topic ... in my case on topic is 'enlightened love as a way for enlightenment'.

Is my way - karmic way for enlightenment - only true way?

... certainly not, it seems to have hope for working in my case, but not everyone has karma similar enough to my karma.

... can others benefit from my lessons?

... i don't disallow - but i advise critical, reasonable approach without too much of stupid faith.

... faith is part of spirituality and religions, i think, but ... is too much of stupid faith a way to success in love?

I certainly do not know the whole Truth, and this makes me misunderstand some of the Lessons.

For more, click if You wish: 'Partial Information, Points of View & Too Quick Jumps to Conclusion'.

Still by following the Lessons according my current understanding makes me experience Lessons & understand them better - I am making progress even when i need to step back, to backtrack sometimes. I learn by trial & error, by experience.

Religious Lessons.

... religion is still a part of modern world, i think.

... Buddhism still has religious lessons, i think it's too stupid to ignore needs of religions and religious people to not allow buddhist religious lessons - even if it's not perfect.

... i need both buddhist, religious, artful, esoteric, and scientific buddhist lessons.

How timeless and abstract are my lessons?

... i think most valuable, timeless, abstract lessons are to develop wisdom and compassion - in this aspect, i think, my lessons are not too unorthodox, the most.

Will i succeed on my way?

... i don't know, but perhaps i still have a chance.

... i do not have better way, better ideas, better lessons still - so i follow the most promising path.

What are risks?

... i do not promise success for those who follow my way.

... i do not know if i will succeed as well.

How Dedicated can be High Magicians?

... there are people who practice High Magick very seriously.

... i suspect they practice whole lives, often many hours a day.

... it can be compared to Ph.D. in Occultism and more, i think.

... i suspect 6 or more hours a day of serious book-worming, for more than 60 years - as most of Scientists work.

... Occultism is also Science, The Scientific approach to Spirituality.

... there are as well daily Ritual-Performance practices, Meditations, Prayers, and far more.

... i am almost completely sure that Buddhism denies that kind of effort very strongly, but still - perhaps we can do a little of this as well.

... i do not need to be so strongly study/ritual bound, but i think some of serious study and memorization of Occult Symbolism and Correspondences is my way.

... i think it's not too high / spirituality oriented / nor too low magick / practical, pragmatic /, as well.

... not only for Buddhism, but for Enlightenment still the most, anyway.

... why should we explore this way?

... if there are so many so dedicated people, i think it's unwise to ignore.

... i don't insist on volunteering on this way, or any other way, anyway.

... why?

... because i have only one wish - enlightened love - magickal or not - with a buddhist woman, and i know which - as a way for Enlightenment.

... for that wish i can serve Buddha, in any way.

... see also, if You can and/or wish: Rosicrucian Magick, Buddhism & Other Spirituality - a Request for High Magick Ritual Performance.

Rosicrucian Magick, Buddhism & Other Spirituality - a Request for High Magick Ritual Performance.

... i request allowance to perform LBRP High Magick Ritual, of the Rosicrucian Golden Dawn, at least once - i request allowance not only from Buddhism.

LBRP (Lesser Banishing Ritual of Pentagram) banishes energies, but i do not want to banish too much of buddhist energies, as well as other energies from people who will benefit from this.

.. i request to banish harmful buddhist energies as well, not only in this process.

Spiritual Revolution?

Evolution is better than Revolution, i think.

... turning 180o degrees, going in reverse direction is pointless, i think ... after two of such turns we return to beginning, so it's better to evolve than reverse, i think.

'Greatest Religions were once Heresies' - i think i saw such meme in the Internet a while ago, but now have difficulties finding such.

New generations should correct mistakes of older, and this includes being politically incorrect, finding modern truths, and even incinting spiritual relovutions - if neccessary.

We do not want to be slaves of our grandma's and grandpa's stiff ideas.

We have right for fighting for our freedoms, as well.

We should not enslave younger generations as well.

... i've bought a book about polish revolution anatomy - fight of mr. Wałęsa against Communism, in which Catholic Church played major role at least - including allowing a polish priest to become the Pope - Jan Paweł II.

Buddhism offers timeless, abstract lessons - and takes different forms in different people at different times.

... in modern times Buddhism is not Religion, but it still has Religious Lessons, and more, i think.

Escape from Reality?

Many people need a little escape from reality, after their hard-working days and/or nights.

... in my case, i need more return to reality.

A form of escapism is playing computer games.

... under church i've been suffering a lot - so i hid myself in my parent's apartment, and started to play computer games - seeking love lessons on mind level.

... i was too fat, smelly, stupid and ugly for this to happen in real life, and i needed badly even a semblance of woman's love.

... it was five worst years in my life.

... i've gone insane, desperate, suffered pain and depression.

... then someone - a young woman from france - helped me, and after in-game romance between our characters ended - i tried to suicide.

... then thought awakened in my mind, to try Buddhism as a last resort.

... i live still, and play computer games too much.

... in a buddhist center had insight that i should play computer games for buddhism, so i did.

... it's insult and disgrace for a computer programmer to play computer games, we prefer to do more meaningful, better things - creating software.

... we, computer programmers, have egoistic thought: 'i do not play computer games, i produce them'.

... too often thoughts arise in my mind, saying that i am insane, that i am worse because i just play instead of producing software.

... i feel raped by these thoughts - even if people do not tell me this in real life directly, they behave that way.

... playing computer games is great pain to me.

... i need real love, in real life - i do not want cyber-love nor cyber-sex - without human touch it's incomplete experience, loneliness in the internet.

Refuge, Ngöndro, Mahamudra, ...

One becomes formally a buddhist when one takes Refuge.

To take Refuge, one has to prepare first - go through 'Small Refuge' practice, then attend to a course where Refuge is given.

After Refuge, there's Ngöndro - four preliminary practices.

After Ngöndro there's Mahamudra, i do not know details.

Do i have Mahamudra? Certainly Not - because i don't have Ngöndro.

Do i have Ngöndro? Certainly Not - i didn't do these practices yet, even that i tried to start.

Do i have Refuge? i hope so, i suspect i have.

Why doubts?

... i am not sure that i did Small Refuge practices in enough number, with enough of calm mind and reason.

... i didn't count precisely either, just used mathematical approximation.

... my memory fails me, and i think i did too many of Small Refuge Mantra Repetitions ... i forgot if these mantra repetitions are everything, or if there's something else, as well.

... i am rather sure, that i did too many of 'Small Refuge' mantra repetitions, and did other practices as well.

... then i took Refuge at 'Triangle Project' Buddhist Course.

... i think i have Refuge, but i am not sure.

... if i failed at taking Refuge, i wish to correct my mistakes, anyway - that's one of reasons, of why i am telling this openly.

... i learned to not tell openly my Refuge Name, as well.

... there are other secret names as well, as one progressess on Buddhist Way - but i don't know if i am worthy of these, and if having these will benefit me and others, as well.

Cause of Womens' Intuition. ;)

What is the cause of womens' intuition?

... thousands of years of non-thinking.

;)

... is it a form of disrespect for women?

... it should not be.

Overthinking is not wise, and many men - including me - think too much.

Calming mind is wise and healthy, and it relies on relaxation as well.

Part of buddhist meditations include non-thinking, relaxation and observation of thoughts and feelings, mind state.

Meditation can lead to true wisdom, as well.

Trusting intuition and heart is wise, and can include healthy dose of doubt, self-criticism, and self honesty as well.

... but even without criticism, trusting intuition, one's heart needs is sometimes wise.

Humans have feelings, are not robots and automatons afterall.

Roleplaying, Improvised Theatre, Vajrayana Meditation, Visualization & Work with Feelings.

... roleplaying games can be understood as 'playing roles' - getting into a character, imagining situations while considering character played, trying to feel as character played, describing reactions to situations, environment, interactions etc ...

... many say that roleplaying - especially Quality LARPs / LARP is short for 'Live Action Role Playing', events with more or less people, with proper clothing, outfit, requisites, played often in rural/forest/hill/castle/lake/stream environment, not only with words - but also by walking, travelling, gesticulating, and far more / - are a form of improvised theatre ... and when real actors hear this, take seriously, and give them more challenging lessons - they start to regret 'thought/feeling beating' they receive.

... imagination can be either passive or active, one can try to understand thoughts of character one plays, or actively visualize - try to 'see' images in his or hers mind's eye.

... getting in character can be trying to feel as character one knows and understands, considering current environment and conditions.

... i think feelings are great source of power, often too great - and result in worsening of one's karma when used unwisely, unskilfully.

... i think imagination - especially visualization - can give focus and direction to power awakened by one's feelings.

... while combining active visualization with feeling-work can be powerful, it can be very dangerous because of the power of these methods. one can even lose contact with reality, be disoriented, defocused and/or go insane, i think.

... Vajrayana Meditation can use these methods, but one should be careful, prepared and cautious when advancing that way. Once one is prepared and ready, there's still caution advised, because often too much of power - and/or too much of 'focus in a certain direction', and/or too much of 'focus on a certain aspect of one's way' - can be unwise, unworthwhile, and dangerous. Not always too much power and/or focus is better - usually 'minimum force approach' and 'withholding from overstretching in a certain direction' is best, i think.

... driving a car or piloting an airplane requires far more caution, wisdom and skill than just accelerating in a single direction to maximum, i think.

... the Way to Enlightenment is not so straight and danger-less as one would like - so one has to drive in 'Mahayana Vessel', or in 'Vajrayana Vessel' by himself or herself - if one wants to reach Liberation and Enlightenment.

... every being has different way as well, i do not trust those who try to 'show the straight way to enlightenment', i think Master can 'show the way', 'point finger at moon', but it's student who has to travel the way by himself or herself ... looking at finger pointing at moon is not the same as 'going to moon', 'experiencing the moon'.

... which master(s) one can trust? everyone should check and decide by himself or herself, i think.

... i think it's wise to trust wiser, on condition that they do not abuse too much.

Dorje & Bell.

... i've ordered Dorje & Bell at amazon.com.

... i'll try to use it to awaken Wisdom, Power, Compassion & Skillful Means in myself and others - but not in everyone - for now.

... i am aware that these tools are Powerful, and misusing these results in bad karma.

... i wish to learn how to use Dorje & Bell, with wisdom and patience.

Vajra (Skt.; Tib. རྡོ་རྗེ་, dorje; Wyl. rdo rje) — a ritual sceptre symbolizing compassion and skilful means, and also a symbol of indestructibility. In tantric rituals the vajra is the necessary counterpart of the bell, which symbolizes the wisdom of emptiness.

The bell (Skt. ghaṇṭa; Tib. དྲིལ་བུ་, drilbu; Wyl. dril bu) is, with its necessary counterpart the vajra, an important ritual implement in Vajrayana practices. It symbolizes the feminine principle, the wisdom of emptiness, while the vajra symbolizes the masculine principle, that of compassion and skilful means. And the union of wisdomand skilful means is the enlightened mind.

Buddhism at Work.

... i do not wish to lose my job too early.

... there are causes for why i am working as a physical security specialist, instead of being employed in IT Sector.

1. ... i wish to learn how to be a 'bodyguard' for a buddhist woman i Love, and for other people - mostly friends,

2. ... i am not ready for office work, it's more demanding - especially for mentally ill person that i am. Sooner or later however, i think i'll be ready for office work - as a software scientist & engineer,

3. Working outside IT sector gives me more freedom in pursuing my art/sci/tech projects.

Keeping my current employment is still challenging - i struggle against detrimential mind states, trying to not be late, trying to be proffesional at work.

... i've developed mantra:

'... as is wise, professional & enlightening - but not at all cost.'

... by emphasizing wisdom, i am including non-buddhist wisdoms, both worldly, as well as spiritual wisdoms.

... i've brought dorje phurba to my workplace as well, i hope it will help me remove all obstacles that prevent my work from being enlightening, professional & wise.

... i've offered my dorje phurba as well as my service related with my dorje phurba to Lama Ole Nydahl ... at first in mind, now in written-speech form as well.

... i think dorje phurba is great tool for those who identify with Mahakala, buddhist protector, ...

Word dorje means both 'skillful means' as well as 'indestructibility of diamond', but probably there are also other meanings as well.

Word phurba means 'obstacles severing knife', but perhaps there's more.

Thus dorje phurba means 'indestructible, obstacles severing knife, especially in skilled hands'. i think skills can be learned, including skills for wielding dorje phurba.
