Shaolin Qi Gong.

Introduction.

The Legendary Shaolin Temple, the cradle of all Martial Arts is still part of the World.

It's a Buddhist Monastery located in the Henan Province, China - but there are also Shaolin Temples located in other parts of the World, including Europe.

This blog's author wishes to create his own Martial Arts style, that will include meditation exercises, body stretching, movements & breathing, as well as other lessons that can open way for others to Buddhism & Enlightenment.

It's Mahakala's Way to pave the way for Buddhism - i read.


Qi Gong.

Qi Gong should be the central lesson of my style, it's a set of meditation, body stretching, breathing & movement exercises for the health of Body & Mind.

From Qi Gong martial arts evolved, and in turn affected how Qi Gong is practiced now as well.


Roots.

'Possibly the most popular Qi Gong exercise in the world, the Eight Treasures (or Ba Duan Jin as is known in China) has ancient tradition which stretches back to the founder of Zen Buddhism; Bodhidharma. Seeing that his monks were tired from extensive meditation, Bodhidharma composed a set of exercises to give them energy and strengthen their bodies.'

Practice.

i bought 'Shaolin Warrior; The Way of Qi Gong Volume 1' DVD by Shifu Yan Lei, now i can practice martial arts not only with mind (thinking is also part of Martial Arts), but also with mind & body in union (by practicing Qi Gong).

i am very grateful for that opportunity.
