Repaying Karmic Debts, Noble Way.

Introduction.

i think there are people to whom i have karmic debts.

Since years i try repaing my karmic debts as soon as possible, guided by insights. i think it is the Self-Honest & Noble Way anyway.

i think my gratitude should be expressed as well, to save them from troubles in case something happens to me.

In case something fatal happens to me, first part of my last wish is that our Sangha do Phowa Practice for me.

In case something fatal happens to me, second & last part of my last wish is that HH Buddha Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje has 50% worth of my share in my apartment & belongings, as well as Nerialka's paints i bought. Rest of my belongings & apartment share i wish that my brother - Adam Wysocki - keeps.

i do not think something fatal will happen to me in a near future, however.

To whom i owe my karmic debts?

Most important are:

Hanna Łubek - compassionate massage therapist & a Buddhist. Hanna Łubek spoke over million of OM MANI PEME HUNG compassion mantras in this life, she was also the one who invited me to the Karma Kagyu Tibetan Diamond Way Buddhism & arranged for my Refuge in Lama Ole Nydahl as well. i owe her a lot for that. Without Buddhism i would not have a hope and would suicide sooner or later. i guess she saved my life.

Marek Dembiński - Martial Artist & a highly accomplished & realized Buddhist friend of Hanna Łubek. He was first of the important teachers of Martial Arts that i learned from. He advised me to perform Tonglen Meditation, as a way to give a lot of Love for myself. then i met in a Buddhist Center a Buddhist Woman with who i meditated together & fell in Love with.

Lama Ole Nydahl - Buddhist Teacher in whom i took Refuge in. He inspired me to try to live Noble life, by calling me noble in his email letter - as well as giving me practice that opened me this Way.

Hannah Nydahl - She was Lama Ole's wife for as long as she lived, now i think she is probably reincarnated already. She was assisting Lama Ole Nydhal in the Refuge Course called Triangle Project.

Isabelle Meuriot aka Nerialka - an Internet Friend from France, she gave me a year of her youth during which she provided me with mental support & long talks when i had severe depression. She also saved my life, i am sure of that.

Karolina Boboli - an important, young, wise & compassionate Buddhist friend from our Sangha.

Marcin Szamborski - a helicopter pilot, inspiring talker, idealist & Buddhist.

My other Teachers with portaits included in the right section of this blog.

David Griffin - the powerful mage & current Leader of the Golden Dawn. i felt the Blessings & the Protective Magicks soon after i took my interrests in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Had insights that i owe him for this soon after.

Meike Herzog - a Buddhist from Europe Center whom i met in the Internet for a while. A Light Artist & probably more. i still feel her blessing, inspiring presence, empathy, beautiful words & wisdoms in Mind often.

A Buddhist Woman i Love - i don't know her name, but i feel her presence, compassionate, wise voice & empathy in my Mind. Without her i can't live for too long.

My family - they raised me, my brother helped me when i was financially breaking apart. Now i can sustain myself & my apartment without extra help, thankfully. i am no longer money-drain for him, thankfully.

Probably more as well.

Wishes.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.

Reading Prajñāpāramitā.

A quote from Prajñāpāramitā.

'It is noteworthy that the ontology of Prajñāpāramitā is represented here, and elsewhere, as a simple coninuation, or extension, of the traditional Buddhist doctrine of 'non-self' (an-attā).'

Blog author's Comments.

it is also mentioned in the Heart Sutra, that Emptiness is Form & Form is Emptiness. All conditioned things are impermanent, empty, illusory. Even wisdoms disappear when one becomes Enlightened, only to return in their perfect forms.

It is advised in the Heart Sutra, that one should study Prajñāpāramitā with Impermanence in Mind, with Emptiness in Mind, with an Illusory Nature of Reality in Mind.

A quote from Wikipedia.

'In Buddhism, the term anattā (Pali) or anātman (Sanskrit) refers to the doctrine of "non-self", that there is no unchanging, permanent soul (blog author's addition: there's also no unchanging, permanent ego) in living beings. It is one of the seven beneficial perceptions in Buddhism, and along with Dukkha (suffering) and Anicca (impermanence), it is one of three Right Understandings about the three marks of existence.'

> [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anatta ].

A quote from Wikipedia:

'Ontology is the philosophical study of the nature of being, becoming, existence or reality as well as the basic categories of being and their relations. Traditionally listed as a part of the major branch of philosophy known as metaphysics, ontology often deals with questions concerning what entities exist or may be said to exist and how such entities may be grouped, related within a hierarchy, and subdivided according to similarities and differences.

Principal questions of ontology include:

"What can be said to exist?"
"What is a thing?"
"Into what categories, if any, can we sort existing things?"
"What are the meanings of being?"
"What are the various modes of being of entities?"'

> [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ontology ].

The King of Aspiration Prayers of Noble, Excellent Activity.

Kagyu Monlam & Prayers.

During the Kagyu Monlam, many prayers are recited, but particularly the “King of Aspiration Prayers” or “Samantabhadra Wishing Prayer”. And it comes from a collection of sutras, which contains a great number of aspiration prayers (since sutras are the preserved teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni, these are prayers he himself would have spoken).

This particular aspiration prayer, the “Samantabhadra Wishing Prayer” is said to be the king of all aspiration prayers. Among the sixteen points it has, the first section is the seven-branch prayer.

The collected efforts of all the individuals gathered produce a hundred thousand or more recitations and contribute to the development of positive disposition and wisdom, necessary in order to reach enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings.

How should we perceive Karmapa's activity?

'Dear Dharma Friends,

On March 29, 2017, Trinley Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa shared the joyous news of his marriage to Khandro Rinchen Yangzom. Students from around the world, East and West, are responding to this momentous occasion in our lineage. I feel compelled to express the great confidence with which we can embrace this event.

(...)

So how should we perceive the Karmapa’s activity? A Buddha’s activity is beyond our concepts and beyond our limitations, as one can read in Samantabhadra’s Prayer of Excellent Conduct. When we rely on our own limitations, it does not limit the Karmapa’s activity, but through our wrong views, rather, we limit our own active participation in collective virtuous activity.

When limited by wrong views, how can we respond? The ways in which buddhas and bodhisattvas benefit beings are absolutely, inconceivably profound. We can therefore recite Samantabhadra’s Prayer of Excellent Conduct to remind ourselves about the inconceivable vastness of Buddha activity. We can recite Calling the Guru from Afar to recall our own conditions, and to supplicate masters of the past in helping us to overcome them. We can remember the bodhisattvas who have manifested in our own lifetimes, such as Shamar Rinpoche, and recall their life events with gratitude. We can rely on the words of the Karmapa himself: “I have a strong feeling, deep within my heart, that my decision to marry will have a positive impact not only for me, but also for the lineage.

. . .Something beautiful, something beneficial will emerge, for all of us.”

Supernatural, is it a fact?

Introduction.

During the Triangle Project Buddhist Course, i took Refuge in Three Jewels & in Lama Ole Nydahl, Hannah Nydahl assisted him with the cutting hair & rest of ceremony.

During that course, i did experience meaningful hallucinations & insights for first time in my life. It was a miracle. This happened both with Lama Ole, as well as with Tomasz Lehnert.

During this course Lama Ole Nydahl said that supernatural powers are fact; i believe in this as well - even if there are moments of doubts.

Meeting Uri Geller (a report by Caty Hartung).

'By Caty Hartung

In 1972 my brother and I got very excited - there was this man bending spoons and keys on TV. We couldn't stop talking about it.

Today we visited the man from TV. Uri Geller opened his home to welcome Lama Ole Nydahl; he was easy, friendly and very natural. After 5 minutes he asked if we had brought a spoon. Of course we had, and so he bent it in front of our eyes. He signed it and gave it back to Lama Ole. Another spoon with a 40-million-year old piece of amber embedded in it was presented to him as a gift, and found its place on his famous 1976 Cadillac, adorned with thousands of spoons, where the names of many great men and women of the 20th century are united.

Somehow all this was not important. What impressed us most was a man of today’s world, who put our pictures on Twitter while chatting with us, who personally answers 300 emails a day and walks around with the most inspiring aura enriching other people’s lives with the idea that we are all connected and that there exists more than the relative physical world. We are leaving happy – we met a kind man, authentic and openhearted, with a special gift.

Martial Thoughts.

Introduction.

At youth i read a little of Martial Arts - related Philosophy, i read a little of Buddhist & Taoist ideas, i read Sun Tzu's Art of War as well.

Consequentailly i tried to live that way - which put me into troubles, as this was seen as detached from reality in Poland, a Catholic Nation.

But since years, i managed to integrate this with local needs, this is no longer my weakness, i consider it inner strength.

Quotes.

Sun Tzu is a famous Chinese General of the Ancient Times & the widely known author of
'Art of War',
first treatise about warfare in known history.

Morihei Ueshiba was amazing human, creator of Aikido & Master of many Martial Arts,
rumored to perform supernatural feats.

Very humane person as well.

Aikido is fascinating, designed to be Art of Self-Defense.
Pace & non-harming are very important parts of the Aikido Philosophy, of the Techniques of this Style as well.

Gichin Funakoshi is known as Master of Karate Shotokan, a Poet & a Loving Person.

In his book 'Karate-Do, my life' he explained philosophy, roots & history of Martial Arts - reaching times when weapons were allowed only to the Samurai Warrior-caste. Peasants trained at night, illegally, with bare hands & peasant tools such as stick (Bo) or a knife for planting rice (Sai).

Taking Refuge in Partner's Heart.

Disclaimer & Warning.

This is based on personal experiences of blog's author, so please be cautious and do not have too much of expectations.

i do not know if my insights are truth or delusions, whether they should be followed or not.

Do this practice or not, at Your own Risk & Responsibility, with Your own Reason & Criticism - You do not want to hurt Loved One or Yourself.

Mature Love does not play with Partner's feelings, i think.

About.

After years of fighting for love, i got many insights from heart - perhaps they are truth, perhaps delusion.

i got many insights related with a Buddhist woman i Love, we have regular inner talks, cooperation in fight for our family, occasionally feelings as well.

Recently i had insights that a Buddhist woman i Love took refuge in my heart ... that is that she understood that i love her, trusted me, that her consciousness, thoughts & feelings reached my heart - and she felt peace & bliss because of this.

Tonight, on a Full Moon, on a Full Pink Moon i took refuge in her heart, we took refuges in each other hearts together.

i felt great Love & Bliss, Excitement & a bit of Longing - as well as Peace, had insights that Lama Ole Nydahl blesses this.

'Nothing gives as much of Bliss & Suffering as Love' -- Quoting Lama Ole Nydahl more or less.

i wish us to help other beings together, to make our Love & Inner Wealth grow in us both - for as long as possible, preferably spanning many Lifetimes.

i had insight that Lama Ole Nydahl blessess this as well.

i wish us to have family & kids, if she also wishes for that.

i do wish that other Ways - including Science - to not endanger our Love, Enlightened Love as a Way to Enlightenment.

Wishes.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.

Understanding Other, Esoteric Ways.

Introduction.

While Buddhism is the most important part of this blog author's Spiritual Ways, there are other - Esoteric Aspects - as well.

Word 'Esoteric' can be understood as 'following other Spiritual Path than my own' - in a context of this article, i'll use this meaning.

Blog author's Spiritual Ways.

Most important Spiritual Ways, arranged by how much i care & prioritize my efforts are:

1. Buddhism.
2. Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.
3. Wicca/Witchcraft - Mostly Gardnerian.
4. Parts of the Catholic Church (but certainly not a modern inquisition).

... in a future i plan to learn about other spritual ways - including Hoodoo & Voodoo, as well.

About, Goals, Methods & blog author's approach.

1. Buddhism.

Goal of Buddhism is Liberation & Enlightenment, dissolution of ego & full realization of Mind's potential.

This can be achieved using many methods, including Wisdom & Compassion development, including the Noble Eightfold Path as well.

2. Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

'The Golden Dawn is one of the most influential and respected system of magic in the world. Over a century old, the teachings of this once-secret society are considered the capstone of the Western Esoteric Tradition.'

-- Quoted from 'The Essential Golden Dawn. An Introduction to High Magic' by Chic Cicero and Sandra Tabatha Cicero.

(the meaning of word 'Esoteric' in this quote, differs from one used by blog author in this article).

Goal of the Golden Dawn is union with God.

This blog's author wishes to achieve this goal, then resign from it & return to the Buddha's Way. Reaching union with god, as well as preparing for it will help me understand the Golden Dawn better, their needs & thinking - so esoteric politics with them won't be 'oversweet & meaningless'. i plan to help the Golden Dawn even after that still.

Methods of the Golden Dawn are Scientific Study & Ritual Practices. Most notably modern Golden Dawn uses the Enochian Magick & the Hermetic Quabbalah. Golden Dawn members say that their Order has 'Scientific Methods & Spiritual Goals'.

3. Wicca/Witchcraft.

Wicca worships the Triple Goddess (typically comprised by the Virgin, Mother, and Wise Woman/Crone) which is associated with the waxing, full, and waning moon phases.

They also worship the Horned God, also known as Herne. This God and Goddess pair are sometimes given specific names and sometimes so revered as only to be named in ritual, simply called the Lady and the Lord.

Wiccans believe that for the Divine to be complete and whole, it must be both male and female.

All gods and goddesses, even of various faiths, are accepted as different aspects of one greater Divine Power.

Like in other forms of Paganism, Wiccans also worship nature as divine.

Wicca teaches reincarnation, in which the spirit is reborn to meet again the people with whom they had close personal connections in previous lives.

Unlike other reincarnation beliefs, Wiccans believe that the goal is not to escape reincarnation on earth but to enjoy experiencing life repeatedly until the spirit has learned everything it possibly can.

Once this has happened, and the spirit no longer reincarnates, it enters a blissful realm called 'the land of youth' or 'summerland.'

Methods of Wicca/Witchcraft include spellcasting, meditation (different from Buddhist meditation), prayers & holy rites.

This blog's author wishes to reach the Wiccan Summerland, stay there for a while, then resume Buddha's Way. As with the Golden Dawn's goal, it's mostly to understand their needs, thinking & way. i also plan to help the Wicca/Witchcraft even after that as well.

4. Parts of the Catholic Church.

Goal of the Church is to go to Heaven & be close to the God - after one's death. To achieve this, Catholics try to do the good deeds & believe in the God during their lives.

This blog's author had mixed experiences with the Catholic Church. While many were hypocrites only pretending to be good, but in truth uncaring or abusive - there were also very good people internally & externally. i just can't ignore the good & help that at least part of the Church did for me, to be honest with myself i wish to repay the karmic debts with them.

Respecting other ways.

i think we should respect each other, should try our best to protect ourselves & each other, should try to understand ourselves & each other, should try to befriend each other as well.

Truth is what brings together instead of separating, but Honesty is important as well. i try to be honest, even if i'm not perfect that way as of yet.

i strive for Alliances or even better Friendships, i strive to represent our Sangha's side - while understanding other Ways, their conducts & their needs, as well.

i hope that Sangha will respect my karmic connections as well. Empty, oversweet words in presence of friends - but without backing them with thoughts, words & actions when friends are not there - are harmful to relations i think.

Wishes.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.

Couples that are Gift to the World.

Generous Love.

'Generous love, the glue that holds everything together in a healthy relationship, aims for shared happiness through the fulfillment of one's partner. From the great moments of their lives, many remember that the experiences of sharing love are much more honest and convincing than anything one could do for oneself. The joyful rush of living the highest principle of oneness and being there for everyone brings pervasive meaning and a sense of liberation, as if one has just broken out of prison. Most of the time, attraction is the dominating element at the beginning of a love affair. This continues on in good relationships because one simply gains pleasure by giving joy. But if permanence and a well-rounded development are to unfold, there must also exist a genuine respect and trust in the partner. This can be seen in all experienced couples.

Those who have a surplus of inner values are not only more prone to have pleasant experiences, but are also more convincing when they pass them on to others. Couples who are like this are gift to the world. When both partners share joy, then new levels of meaning open up. And so a healthy foundation to work from - created through conscious and friendly thought, words, and actions - is highly precious. In a long-term relationship, the joy that is based in such a foundation steadily increases. Bursting the limits of an "I-You" dynamic, it radiates outward for the benefit of all.

-- Quoted from 'Buddha & Love' book by Lama Ole Nydahl.

Two kinds of love.

Conditioned love expects, hopes, fears, and wants to "get" rather than give. Thus, disturbing emotions arise and one gets increasingly poorer on the inner level.

Giving/Unconditional love realizes how much beings struggle with their inner & outer worlds - that they do, say, and think things which make them unable to find lasting happiness. Consequently one begins to give, without thinking of one's own advantage.'

-- Quoted from 'Buddha & Love' book by Lama Ole Nydahl.

About Buddha Karmapa 17th's marriage with Rinchen Yangzom.

Recently, Buddha Karmapa 17th followed the example of his 15th incarnation as Kakhyab Dorje, who and chose the inspiration of a fine wisdom partner to be at his side.

i don't have proper words for this, i can't express how great news this is for the whole World - so i only quote Lama Ole Nydahl, the author of 'Buddha & Love' book.

'In the situation we live in there is probably no more useful and uplifting way to benefit societies and lay people everywhere than the blazing example of a couple activating the great dimensions of a perfect and happy family.

May wonderful events follow this fusing of two great hearts and may there be meaningful, new and gladdening insights appearing in a modern world, which make so many aspects of mind’s potential possible'.

Wishes.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.

What is Buddhism, again?

Lama Ole Nydahl in his book 'The Way Things Are' mentioned that Buddhism is the Way of Life, similar to Psychology, Philosophy & Religion - with certain differencies from these, however.

Modern words of HH Buddha Karmapa however explain that Buddhism is the Way of Life similar to Science, not a Philosophy nor Religion.

It's also Lama Ole Nydahl's words that Buddhism has different lessons for different people - all leading to Liberation (all of Buddhism) and Enlightenment (Mahayana Buddhism & Vajrayana Buddhism). Some people are content with Liberation only.

i think that different lessons are for different times & nations, for different religious, cultural & social groups as well.

Can someone be both Catholic (or a member of other Religion) & a Buddhist at the same time?

i understood - by HH Buddha Karmapa's words - that it's possible.

Hope others will benefit from this as well.

Consciousness.

Introduction.

Vijñāna (Sanskrit) is translated as 'consciousness', 'life force', 'mind', or 'discernment'.

Mahayana Buddhism breaks the mind into eight separate consciousnesses.

Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche said the point of meditation is actually to understand how the eight conciousnesses work, because together they create our samsaric reality.

They are also the working basis of enlightenment.

-- Sources: Wikipedia, Lion's Roar article.

Eight Vijñānas.

1 through 6: The Sense Consciousnesses.

The first 5 are familiar: the eye, ear, nose, tongue, and body consciousnesses.

They work with our sense organs and objects of perception to create our experience of the phenomenal world.

The 6th sense consciousness, called mind, assembles the input from the other sense consciousnesses into a coherent whole.

The six sense bases refer to the five physical sense organs, the mind and their associated objects (visual forms, sounds, odors, flavors, touch and mental objects). Based on the six sense bases, a number of mental factors arise including six 'types' or 'classes' of consciousness. More specifically, according to this analysis, the six types of consciousness are eye-consciousness (that is, consciousness based on the eye), ear-consciousness, nose-consciousness, tongue-consciousness, body-consciousness and mind-consciousness.

Hence, in this context, consciousness includes the following characteristics:
- Arises as a result of the material sense bases,
- There are six types of consciousness, each unique to one of the internal sense organs,
- Consciousness arises from Mind,
- Here, consciousness cognizes or is aware of its specific sense base (including the Mind and Mind Objects),
- Consciousness is a prerequisite for the arising of craving,
- Hence, for the vanquishing of suffering, one should neither identify with nor attach to consciousness.

7: The Klesha or Deluded Consciousness.

The 7th consciousness is the home of our concepts, opinions, and inner discursiveness. Sometimes called the 'nuisance consciousness', it is a source of suffering and a place where we spend far too much of our mental time.

-- Source: Lion's Roar article.

8: Base Consciousness (Skt. Alaya Vijnana) or Store Consciousness.

A function of mind that stores all impressions and lets them mature again with the appearance of corresponding conditions, and manifest in the outer world; it colors one's experience, and through karma is the basis for the next rebirth.

-- Source: 'Fearless Death' by Lama Ole Nydahl.

See also, if You wish or need : Akashic Records - Store Consciousness.

Amalavijñāna.

The amalavijñāna, 'immaculate consciousness', is considered by some schools as a ninth level of consciousness.

This 'pure consciousness is identified with the nature of reality (parinispanna) or Suchness'.

Alternatively, amalavijñāna may be considered the pure aspect of ālāyavijñāna.

Some buddhists also suggest hrdaya (Heart) consciousnesses, or an eleven consciousnesses theory or an infinity consciousness.

Five Skandhas.

Introduction.

Five Skandhas — the five psycho-physical aggregates, which are the basis for ego.

They are:
1. Form,
2. Feeling or Sensation,
3. Perception,
4. Mental Formations,
5. Consciousness.

Form/Matter.

Matter, body or 'material form' of a being or any existence.

Texts state rupa of any person, sentient being and object to be composed of four basic elements or forces, that is earth (solidity), water (cohesion), fire (heat) and wind (motion).

Feelings/Sensations.

Sensory experience of an object.

It is either pleasant, unpleasant or neutral.

They can also be thought of as the sensations that occur based on sense impressions. A sense object such as incense would belong under the skandha of form, but the sensation created when we smell it belongs in this category. In this case, it would most likely be a pleasant sensation.

Perceptions.

Sensory and mental process that registers, recognizes and labels (for instance, the shape of a tree, color green, emotion of fear).

Mental Formations.

All types of mental imprints and conditioning triggered by an object.

This skandha includes any process that makes a person initiate action or act.

Consciousness.

The Buddhist literature discusses this skandha as,
- Cognizance, that which discerns,
- A series of rapidly changing interconnected discrete acts of cognizance.
- The base that supports all experience.

The Way.

In the Heart Sutra of the Prajñāpāramitā the five aggregates are mentioned, then their dissolution is praised. The five aggregates are basis for ego, and dissolution of ego is the way to the Liberation.

The initial part of the Buddhist practice is purification of each of the above 'five aggregates' through meditation and virtues.

Ultimately, the practice shifts to considering these as naive, then transcending them to reach the state of realization that there is neither person nor self within, or in any other being.

Sources: Rigpa Wiki, Wikipedia, the Heart Sutra Text.

Five Wisdom Buddhas & Skandhas.

Pure Esence of Five Aggregates is expressed through male buddhas of Five Buddha Families.

Pure Essence of Form Aggregate is Buddha Akshobhya,
Pure Essence of Feelings Aggregate is Buddha Ratnasambhava,
Pure Essence of Perception Aggregate is Buddha Amitabha,
Pure Essence of Mental Formations Aggregate is Buddha Amoghasiddhi,
Pure Essence of Consciousness Aggregate is Buddha Vairochana.

On the Diamond Way, every identification with any buddha aspect prevents attachment to five aggregates and through this works as a remedy through every obstacle in mind.

Wishes.

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.
