Skeptics taking Refuge?

Introduction.

After meditating for a while, i've gained access to insights - thoughts appearing in mind.

Thanks to insights i learned a lot - not only about Buddhism (self-arising wisdom?), but also about Computer Sciences, Arts & other life's aspects.

Often however, the insights are mixed with mental illness symptoms - false, confusing & misleading thoughts & feelings.

Sometimes it's hard to discern what is true, what's insight from what's false, what's a symptom.


Skeptics taking Refuge?

Just before now i got insight that a known to me skeptic spoke in mind:
'i take Refuge in Lama Ole Nydahl, if i can'.

Then got insights that Lama Ole Nydahl gave her refuge on the inner & secret levels, extended blessings, methods & protection.

Apparently she craved for the Secret Buddhist Lessons, for Tantric Powers of Siddhi - for which, the connection with the Teacher is the key. Probably idea of having access to Practices of Tantrix Love & Tantric Sex was enticing as well.

She spoke Guru Rinpoche Mantra (OM AH HUNG BENZA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG) then took Refuge in Lama Ole Nydahl.

Soon after that she converted to Catholic Christianity again, praying to St. Anthony (patron of lost souls & patron lost things as well) to protect her from going too far into Buddhism, for she wants to go into heaven - in her opinion heaven is eternal.

Is it?

After death we will know.

Apparently in her opinion God created Buddha (Buddhist lessons deny this), and Buddhism is for the people, especially that it's a good way, full of good deeds & altruism.

She wanted to learn 'supernatural powers' from good people.


Is it all the truth or just my ego's play?

Perhaps it is, i don't know.

Even if it didn't happen in reality, i share this route so others of Catholic Church & other Religions/World Views might consider following it.

But returning to a 'skeptic activity in my mind' - either way i'll consider her a friend, a part of Sangha on the inner level.

She's Catholic & a Buddhist since that moment, as is possible by Buddha Karmapa's words.

i think taking Refuge by Catholics is an act of open-mindedness, of tolerance & of acceptance.

i won't reveal her name for her protection.


Then a while after got insight that another Catholic friend took Refuge in Lama Ole Nydahl & spoke Guru Rinpoche Mantra in mind as well.

Then she prayed to St. Anthony & converted to Catholic Christianity again as well.

Everything the same applies to her as well.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.
