Mental Illness, Work & Life's Priorities.

-=- Physical Security Specialist at Juwentus Company. -=-

Mental Illness is example of how bad karma from this and previous lives can ripen and hinder someone in attempts of being useful.

I think too many of mentally ill people treat their illness as an excuse from work, relying on social welfare to sustain themselves.

I've heard: 'i am not fit for work', when i asked.

But it doesn't have to be that way - i think that people without hope for normal life should be gently encouraged at first until they relax, then introduced to self-discipline and daily routines required for work and life as independent people.

One also should set-up priorities for one's life, i think - and fight for what's important for him or her.

In my case the top priority is enlightened love with a buddhist woman / i know which /, and i think that work, responsibility & self-independence are important when one wishes to create family.

After working for about five years as a computer programmer, my mind state worsened and i've lost my job.

... i've attended to therapy, prepared myself for work and independent life.

... i've started a few of projects, also related with computer sciences.

... but sciences - while can be fascinating - are nothing compared to Love, i think.

After living so many years on social welfare, trying to find work and be self-independent - finally found a job as a physical security specialist.

It's less demanding job than working as a computer programmer in a corporate office.

Still it's a step forward, a way of self-improvement, a way of self-introduction to work discipline and self-independence.

After being unemployed for so long - one's mind fears changes, fears work. There are mental illness symptoms associated that hinder work attempts. So, even easy job is better than nothing - at least at first - as a step onward.

Once i am ready - perhaps in 3 years - i'll try to return to professional programming and sciences.
