Three Expressions.

Introduction.

Buddha Shakyamuni was born as a Prince, but he sought greater Attainments - he preferred to not be a King, he wishes all beings Enlightenment - even if not fully understanding it at first.

i had insights that Buddha's Way is the Way of Kings & Slaves, where one starts with Power, then Serves, then Becomes Enlightened.

A Quote.

'Three precious expressions of compassion motivate three practical expressions of kindness: that of the king, the ferryman, the herdsman. Any one may be chosen, but it is advisable to start with what is closest to one's nature. First and well known throughout history, but tragic if the ego has not transcendent, is the role of the king. In the best case king thinks, "When i am strong, I will benefit everyone." Then, there is the compassion of the ferryman. He takes everyone along thinking, "Now we all leave confusion and together go to the shore of human growth." Finally, in religions that flatter their adherents by comparing them to sheep, there is the role of a herdsman. He habitually thinks of others before himself. He lives by the idea: Whoever thinks of himself has difficulties, but whoever thinks of others has interresting tasks to do.'

-- Quoted from 'The Way Things Are' book by Lama Ole Nydahl.

Blog author's Way.

i think i started with king's attitude for developing professionally as Computer Programmer, even if not with bestly infailible compassion.

i did achieve much on that way, then was dissilusioned - it was too lonely way, i understood that King is alone in his castle afterall.

i sought Buddhism as a Way of finding Love & Company, and embarked on the Ferryman Way, with goal of being the King of Ferrymen oneday.

i wished to follow Buddha's Way, including begging & ascethics if neccessary. it happened in my life as well.

... as a funny side note i ate 'Prince Polo' Chocolate Waffers a lot, to be more like the Prince Shakyamuni.

... today i connected dots and understood that one is what one eats afterall. ;)

i've considered if i am worthy to be Prince, perhaps i am not.

... but i think i can accept responsibilities of the Prince of Ferrymen, working harder, even without that title.

Years ago Lama Ole Nydahl called me 'noble' in his email letter to me, this ennobled me & inspired to act in the Noble (Spiritually) Way.

My hair was cut during the Refuge Course by Hannah Nydahl, ennobling act as well, i think.

Recently the Prince Arthur Luis Pagan invited me to be his facebook friend.

i do not know if i am a Prince, i do not need to know that. i do not need prestige nor proofs, i fight for Enlightened & Magickal Love with a Buddhist woman, and i know which, instead.

i try to Protect those i care for anyway. i consider it noble, especially if done without harm. Purity of Dharma Teachings is most Important as well, this includes revealing dishonestly, untruth, traitors & falseness. Protecting anyway.

That's all about the Three Enlightening Ways, if all are Enlightening, then they are Equal. King or Prince is just a role in Society, as anyone's Role.

i think i am not ready to accept the Role & Responsibilities of the King of Ferrymen just yet, however.

i care for Love & Enlightenment the most anyway.

Wishes.

May all beings have happines and causes of happiness,

May they be free from suffering and the cause of suffering,

May they always experience true happiness, which is totally free from suffering,

May they remain in the great equanimity, which is beyond attachment and aversion.
